One of my favorite Georgette Heyer novels. The heroine is delightful, the hero has an interesting development arc, and the secondary characters are rich. I love the well-developed family life, and of course the Baluchistan hound!2020 reread: I am so impressed by the complexity of this book, with nuanced characters revealed through dialogue packed with layers of implicit meaning. One reason Heyer's world is so believable is that her characters live in a finely detailed social structure that is
