I really wanted to give this book a 4 star rating. I enjoy the author and definitely enjoy the world she has created. I think it's different from other worlds about vampires and shapeshifters. However, I could only manage a 3 star rating for this one. I enjoyed her first two books of the series tremendously. Elijah however, starts off very slowly. Once again, Jacquelyn Frank delivers a book that could reheat my tea without the benefit of a microwave. Whoo. Elijah is, in a word, steamy. In this third installment in the Nightwalkers series, the lycanthropes take center stage through Siena, the race's leonine queen.
