I loved this book... My only regret is I do not speak French and thus could not read it in it's native language. For those wondering, its English title is: The Great Swindle. I admit the first time I picked it up it did not grab me by the throat...I had to put it down right after we learned of Edouard's injuries. Only 4 stars because I felt the ending was a little anticlimactic and the character of Pauline could have been fleshed out a bit more. But otherwise, easily one of the top books I've read this years.
