Rendition To Books Gold Medal Threat
I read a copy of this book upon request from the author for an honest review. This is the third book I have read by this author but the first one that is a YA for boys.
It is filled with sport, suspense and the boys being detectives getting them in deep trouble.
Casey and his friend is up against the mafia, organised crime, murderers but it is girls that trip them up.
I loved this wholesome family friendly story focused upon the Olympic games in Australia this is one story that most ya boys will adore.
Most ya girls will develop a crush and most adults, like me, will like to read a book that they can read to their children with no fear.
I highly recommend the purchase of this book for your son, yourselve, a friend, a nephew a dad.
It is fun, the story is fast and engaging.
A 5 Gold medal review rating

This is a pretty good book. It's really for young teens, but as I am crazy about the Olympics I though it might he fun to read. Obviously it is better read by the age group for which it's intended, but even so, I quite enjoyed it. Hard to mark, as I'm so far out of the age range, and don't read that many of this genre, but I'll give it a 4* rating. This book was a great read as it followed Casey and Johnny as they acted like detectives to catch killers to save a gymnast life. I recommend this book for others to pick up and read.
"Gold Medal Threat" by Michael Balkind is a murder mystery set at the Olympic Games in Australia. There is a minor connection to Balkind's previous novels in that Casey, one of the main characters is the son of Reid Clark, detective and sportsman in previous Balkind novels. Reid Clark runs a sports club called AllSports and some of the athletes at the Olympics have trained at that club back in the US.Not long before the Olympics Casey and his friend Johnny overhear by chance parts of a
I just finished reading Gold Medal Threat by Michael Balkind. A suspenseful plot, lots of dialogue, intriguing sleuthing, potential romance, and teenaged heroes and heroines made this mystery hard to put down. Without a couple of grammatical errors, I would have rated this a five for young teens and preteens. It was a fun read for myself as well.

**I won this book in a first reads giveaway**Okay, so I usually don't read books that are primarily aimed for the younger age groups, but I found that I greatly enjoyed it. It was a fast, fun, easy read that had me laughing and griping the book in excitement. The main characters are pretty typical teenage boys with extraordinary schooling, parents and hobby. They boy have a knack for being in the right place at the right time an take it upon themselves to not only alert the authorities of a
This story had me go back in time to the books I read when I was about the age my son is now (12 y), and I have to confess it's a great read even for an adult. Like with all books for younger children, some parts are not very logical, but you have to be able to have two young boys that play hero and get away with almost anything in these stories. The number of stars comes from the idea my son had about the book, he said there was far too much sports in there, and he doesn't like sports in books
