I received a copy of this book for review.The journey for Jake, Conner, Shayna and Seneca continues with plenty of action, magic and deadly foes!I have to say that although this was better than the first one there was still a lot of telling rather than showing and the writing still felt a little stilted at times though not quite as much as the first book. Theres plenty of action to keep the story interesting and there were some good twists in this book as in the first which was a plus!I did feel

This is a great story that follows a young group of magic-using teens as they fight evil forces in the name of good. This is a book of moral fortitude and adventure, and the author does a great job of showing us that.The story starts off with a real grab, following the villain, Brigara. I did find the villain a tad cliché, sharing her knowledge to herself so the audience knows whats shes thinking, and being angsty and rude. Though she fits the cliché, she was written well and fits into the plot

Fantasy fans will want to add 'Crossroads the Dominion of Four'' by C. Toni Graham to their bookshelf. It is so refreshing to read a fantasy novel, where the story is not clogged up, with the standard love story. You know the one, damsel in distress who does not know her own potential until a mysterious guy swoops in to save her. It is so outdated, and I am so pleased that Graham has stuck to gripping action, and includes teenage girls that are just as strong and brave as their male companions.
