Interpretation In Pursuance Of Books Years
The sweeping plains held the promise of a lifetime.Linnea
Eager to begin her first teaching position, lovely Linnea Brandonberg stepped off the train looking as grown up and worldly as her eighteen years would allow. The golden fields and fragrant wheat of Alamo, North Dakota, were as new and different as the Westgaard family with whom she would live.
Teddy
Farm life in 1917 was hard and bitter—but tiny, spirited Linnea was determined to brave its challenges. And as World War I threatened to take those she held dear, Linnea grew to womanhood in the arms of Teddy Westgaard, a man who thought he'd never find love.
Years
A story of passion. A story of heartache. A story of a way of life that will long be remembered—with people and places as real as the emotions of the heart.

Ok...when I read this novel, I was expecting a 5-star HR that will be very hard to forget.Instead 'Years' is about a very naive, immature 18 year old school teacher who rolls in the hay with a grumpy and mean 34 year old illiterate farmer. The fact that the age difference between hero and heroine is 16 years was enough to make me lose my appetite and automatically dislike this story. Sorry, but 16 years is a very big difference and is a total turn-off in romance books for me.Not only that but5++ STARS "You have a fixation with time--clocks, years. What do they matter when there's love?" This book was gifted to me by one of most beloved book friends. I was somewhat hesitant to read a story set in the early 1900s farming community, featuring an age gap, but I couldn't overlook the unwavering recommendations to read this book.I was hooked from the first chapter and thus began my love affair with one of the most well written romances I've read in recent memory. Spencer doesn't write a
Absolutely loved this one!
An oldie, but goodie...*5+ Stars* A truly epic read! One of my all-time, unforgettable favorites!Years is a breathtaking historical romance that I have been rereading faithfully since my teen years. It was my first (mildly steamy) "adult" read, so I may be slightly biased in my opinion, but this has to be one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read.Lavyrle Spencer is an amazing storyteller who knows how to play with a reader's heartstrings. Her stories are tender, but powerful, and Years is
This book isn't just about a slow burning romance, this book is about a community, family, farming life, how World War One changes a country behind the scenes, the galloping of wild horses in winter, the seasons changing... Quite frankly, this book written twenty years ago with such richness and character depth, is going to make everything else seem two dimensional and simplistic for a very long time, this has set a very high bar.If you love the complexity of Anne Of Green Gables, as an example.
While reading "Years", I've enjoyed being transported to North Dakota in 1917-18 and - over the course of some 450 pages - being totally immersed in the life of the Norwegian Westgaard clan. There was a genuine and very tangible sense of family in this book and thats what touched me to the core. I loved every bit of description of the Westgaards' daily life on the farm and their connection to nature. There were hardships and there were simple joys in those times, and it felt absolutely amazing
This won't be a review, more of a rant and an outpouring of emotions. And I'm not guaranteeing that it will be coherent. The first half of the book was pretty good. Even with the immaturity of Lin, Teddy was a nice hero, and his family amazing. I was just feeling nice and smug that the hero and the heroine just got married everything was rosy and perfect, and then one damn disaster after another. The spoilers are pretty bad, just a FYI.(view spoiler)[First Teddy's brother John (whom I loved)
