Read in April 2019 Actual rating: 3.8Ok I kinda got furious with Tanith there! Just because she's got that bloody flipping remnant in her she's now on the bad side! Not cool dude 😐 The relationship with sanguine horrified me. Or at least annoyed me. Tanith was such a flipper! What and who is Daequesse? I got the story but WTH how does Dexter Vex end up in that! I think the plot spoils it so can't say much.I just can't gives this 4 stars. Tanith is a murderer! I usually LOVE skulduggery pleasant.

I rated this 5 stars the first time I read it, but I don't remember having actually loved it. It's true that my love for the Skulduggery Pleasant series makes in indiscriminately rate all the books 5 stars. In this case though, I recognized a 3 star book when I reread it. Skulduggery and Valkyrie don't appear in this short novel, which was one of the main reason why I didn't love this. Additionally, this book is about two factions racing to steal the same objects. Oh, Tanith!! All I wanted to whilst reading this book was reach through the pages and wrap her in a big, big hug. But the only person that got to do that was Sanguine...and that just depressed me.
