Description In Pursuance Of Books Black Order (Sigma Force #3)

A sinister fire in a Copenhagen bookstore ignites a relentless hunt across four continents. Arson and murder reveal an insidious plot to steal a Bible that once belonged to Charles Darwin, the father of evolutionary theory. And Commander Gray Pierce dives headlong into a mystery that dates back to Nazi Germany . . . and to horrific experiments performed in a now-abandoned laboratory buried in a hollowed-out mountain in Poland.

A continent away, madness ravages a remote monastery high in Nepal, as Buddhist monks turn to cannibalism and torture. Lisa Cummings, a young American doctor investigating the atrocity, is suddenly a target of a brutal assassin working for clandestine forces that want the affair buried at any cost. Lisa's only ally is a hidden pilgrim, Painter Crowe -- director of SIGMA Force, an elite command of American scientists and Special Forces operatives -- who is already showing signs of the baffling malady that destroyed the minds of the monks.

Now it is up to Gray Pierce to save both Painter and Lisa -- and a world in jeopardy -- as SIGMA Force races to expose a century-old plot that threatens to destroy the current world order . . . and alter the destiny of humankind forever.

Combining the historic scope of The Da Vinci Code with the relentless thrills of today's best action novels, James Rollins's Black Order is a classic adventure -- an ingenious and breathtaking tour de force that explodes with revelations . . . while offering a startling new view of our place in the grand scheme of existence.

Criticism Of Books Black Order (Sigma Force #3)
Really enjoyed this book and the 3 different story arcs set in South Africa, Denmark and the Himalayas and how it all came together at the end of the book. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

It was a Fantastic read!! Detailed review coming soon :)

Excellent action-adventure-thriller! This is the third book by James Rollins that I've read, and I think I've enjoyed each one a little bit more than the last. This one is filled with continuous action with great science mystery on top. I will definitely be continuing with the series as well as checking some of Mr. Rollins other books as well.

A basic potboiler. The kind where every sentence is a new paragraph.Because it fills up the pages. And sounds emphatic. But it's supposed to involve Nazis, science and "quantum mechanics." I can't wait to see how they do it.Updated to say I don't even remember if I finished the book.

Absolutely loved this book. One of the best mystery, action adventure novels I have read. The author pulled me in with his mystery of the Bell and the quantum theory behind the experiments. The characters were genuine with all their strengths and weaknesses. Just a thoroughly enjoyable book.

It was great to be back with the Sigma Force again. Gray Pierce in is Copenhagen with a suspicious bookstore fire. He is involved is a terrifying mystery surrounding horrific experiments performed in a now-abandoned laboratory in the mountains in Poland. Painter Crowe and Lisa Cummings are in a remote monastery in the mountains of Nepal where Buddhist monks are turning to cannibalism and torture. The Sigma team start to piece together and come to the conclusion about the Nazis' experiments that

Sort of a James Bond meets Angels and Demons thing here... But faster paced than either of them. Some of this is straight from James Bond... We have the bad guys in their mountain fortress, including its own internal railway system. We have the hero at an auction for a rare item, although in this case it's his companion who, with nimble fingers, swaps the real item for a fake and tells the hero that if he'd won it "I would've said it was a fake".Another scene right out of Star Wars. Our captured
